WCF boosts Latin America, African film
BERLIN -- Latin American cinema was the primary focus from the Berlinale's World Cinema Fund latest round of production funding. The initiative, which assists film industries in developing regions, selected four Latin American game titles and something African title, including Jose Luis Valle's Mexican production "Employees," from Zensky Cine, which received 40,000 ($54,070) and Celina Murga's Argentinean pic "Third Bank from the River," from Tresmilmundos Cine and Berlin-based Rommel Film, which likewise won $54,070.
